Kat Tagorda manipulates images through layering and erasure to reflect memory’s shifting nature. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge, and will receive a Master of Fine Arts in Spring 2025. In 2024, she was awarded second place in the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.

Through painting, printmaking, and sculpture, Tagorda depicts furniture, objects, and moments that quietly bear witness to lived experiences. Her work examines how spaces shape identity and how objects carry personal and collective histories, questioning the reliability of memory while embracing its imperfections.
